Campus Planning

As we continue to grow as an institution, we do our best to keep our facilities and equipment in-line with those changes. In fact, we have big plans in store for our College based on our Master Facilities Plan. Check out some of the latest additions to our campuses.

Health Sciences Renovation

WNCC is undertaking a significant renovation of the Health Sciences spaces in the John N. Harms Center, encompassing 34,421 square feet across two levels. This renovation aims to centralize all Health Sciences programs for enhanced integration and includes the construction of new classrooms, labs, and offices. The project, estimated at $11.8 million, is largely funded by the LB1014 Sec. 36 ARPA Grant and underscores WNCC's commitment to advancing health science education. Construction is slated to begin Fall 2024 with classes expected to begin in the new space in 2026.

Powerline Classroom Addition

Utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, WNCC is investing in the Powerline Maintenance & Construction program by modernizing classroom spaces and storage. By adding a dedicated classroom to the current building, WNCC will create a proper lecture space while freeing up room in the current lab for indoor vehicle storage. In addition, a mezzanine above the classroom will offer extra storage or program space, enhancing functionality for everyone involved. Construction is slated to begin Fall 2024 with completion scheduled for Spring 2025.

Scottsbluff Campus Main Building Renovation

Since 1969, the Main Building has been the heart of the Scottsbluff Campus. Following a facility condition assessment, we broke ground on a $18.5 million renovation that will change the face and efficiency of how our college serves the Panhandle. Unveiled in 2019, the renovation of the Main Building included the construction of a new Performing Arts Center, a new Learning Commons, and a new Student Success Center. In 2024, the renovation was completed with the unveiling of completely renovated classrooms and commons space, "The Pit."

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center

The Sidney Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center on the Sidney Campus provides accepted start-up businesses two years of free rent and utilities, as well as access to a full menu of resources at no cost. Accepted applicants into the Center agree to transition to a new or existing brick and mortar store front in the community.

Indoor Training Facility

The Indoor Training Facility, located at the Alliance Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology lab, was developed as a result of our WNCC Foundation’s successful capital campaign in 2017. The indoor facility, which is equipped with 50-foot ceilings and dirt flooring to accommodate powerline poles, allows the Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology students to work indoors during inclement weather.

Pioneer Hall Addition

With views of the Scotts Bluff National Monument, residents of the Pioneer Hall Addition on the Scottsbluff Campus enjoy the latest in campus living at WNCC. The residence hall accommodates 160 students and offers single and double room options.
