Student Complaint Process

The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to helping all students at Western Nebraska Community College reach their fullest potential. Our office provides a variety of student support services, along with opportunities for leadership development, engaging programming and specialized resources.
Western Nebraska Community College affirms students have the right to resolve issues impacting both an academic and non-academic areas without the fear of retaliation or reprisal shall be taken against a student for participation in a complaint/grievance or appeal.

• Student Complaints/Grievances (Non-Academic) Form

There will be times when a student will have concerns with an individual or an approach utilized within an academic setting. Most academic concerns can be resolved informally by speaking directly with the individual; however, if the issue is not resolved, the student(s) who has a complaint against a faculty member or academic administrator regarding an academic concern are expected to pursue the complaint resolution process.

At Western Nebraska Community College, the student has the right to appeal the final grade in a course. The student must initiate such an appeal no later than three (3) weeks after the day final grades are posted.
