Fine Arts - Interdisciplinary

Why choose when you can get a degree studying art, theatre, design, AND music to let your creativity unfold?

About the Program

Do you enjoy being creative and thrive from learning a variety of skills and developing distinct talents at the same time? WNCC’s Interdisciplinary Associate in Fine Arts degree allows you to survey all of the creative art fields to build your abilities in them collectively and separately. You will become more adept at problem solving, public speaking, and communicating your ideas effectively. You will have opportunities to perform in public, build your art portfolio, and hone your artistic techniques.

The Interdisciplinary AFA program, located on our Scottsbluff Campus, will traverse through the fundamental theories and methodologies of art, music, design, and theatre, while giving you the opportunity to interact with and participate in each of these crafts. Regardless of what area you may want to pursue after you successfully graduate from the program, your degree compliments any career you choose or field of study you may wish to pursue at a four-year university or college.

You will get to perform in our numerous music and musical performances we present annually. You will find the full schedule here. WNCC’s AFA program serves to ensure you have the comprehensive, practical knowledge to perform in an ensemble or begin a solo career. Our accomplished instructors will prepare you in musical theory and practice so you can either launch your career after graduating WNCC or continue your music education towards bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university.
