Radiologic Technology (Pre)

Create diagnostic images using innovative technology to help save lives.

Are you looking for a robust, integral, hands-on medical career working with patients where you don’t have to take blood samples or work with bodily fluids? If so, check out a career as a Radiologic Technologist. These professionals, sometimes called Rad Techs, help Radiologists take clear images of patients so they can be used for diagnosis. Radiologic Technicians interact with patients, properly position them for the images needed, capture the images, and ensure image readability.

WNCC’s Radiologic Technology emphasis area, offered at the Scottsbluff Campus, will provide you with the prerequisites needed to enter a specialized school of radiography. The courses are also applicable to other related programs, if you should choose another path. This program has transfer agreements with Chadron State College and the School of Radiologic Technology at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
