Are you familiar with “punkin’ chunkin’?” Build some simple machines using K’NEX building system pieces to understand the physics involved in various classes of levers. Then create your own “Chunkin’’” machine to launch projectiles, much smaller than pumpkins, in competition. We also explore with the K’NEX building system to create bridges, structures, and simple machines. By the end of the week, we will have had a competition to see who can build the lightest and strongest bridge!
