Lights, Camera, YouTube

This one-day workshop shows you the basics of how to create and post YouTube videos even if you just have basic computer skills. Each participant will create their own video and upload it to their YouTube account. We’ll cover the following: 

Gear - cameras, accessories, lights, editing software, etc. 

Basic Shooting - lighting, placement, general theory. 

Editing - basic video editing including cutting shots, transitions, special effects, etc. 

Music - how to source and edit music for video.

Titles - How to add and edit titles and captions. 

Posting to YouTube - includes basic YouTube channel set-up and management. 

For this course you will need: 

A cell phone or digital video camera (with cable with USB connection). 

A laptop and mouse (loaners are available). If you have a Mac, make sure iMovie is loaded. Loaner laptops are limited so reserve one when you register. 

Headphones or earbuds and USB mic. 

Editing software Wondershare Filmora 9 (https://filmora.wondershare.net/) You can download this software for free prior to class beginning. Loaner computers will have the software pre-installed.
