Tuition & Fees

While you’re here, you’ll earn a quality education, meet lifelong friends, and be well prepared for the next steps of your life. The best part? It won’t break the bank.

We’re proud to be one of the most affordable colleges in the region. But so there are no surprises, we’ve outlined all the tuition and fees costs you can expect at WNCC.

Financial aid is an option for most students, too. In fact, more than 69 percent of all WNCC students received financial assistance in the 2020-2021 academic year, and nearly $6 million in total aid was awarded.

Once you’re established as a student, payments toward tuition and fees can be made online through your student portal. Additionally, payment plans are available through Nelnet at

Tuition & Fees

The following tuition rates have been approved by Western Community College Area (WCCA) Board of Governors. A set list of course fees for 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 are available.

Buddy's Books & Bistro is your place for textbooks, gear, or supplies. Buy or sell used and new textbooks, find WNCC gear, and purchase gifts in-store or online.

Students with approved financial aid sufficient to cover all WNCC institutional charges (for example, tuition and fees and on-campus housing, if applicable) and their textbooks may elect to charge their textbooks and class supplies to their WNCC student account when purchasing books through Buddy's Books & Bistro. Book charging begins a minimum of five weeks before the start of each semester.  Students who have signed up for a Nelnet payment plan may elect to add their textbooks and supplies to their Nelnet plan.  Just notify the bookstore staff!

Housing & Food

Students living on the Scottsbluff Campus have the option of living in either Pioneer Hall, Horizon Hall or Conestoga Hall, while the apartment-style Sidney Living residence halls are available for Sidney Campus students. All students living on the Scottsbluff Campus are required to purchase a meal plan. There is also an additional $180 housing deposit and activities fees due on top of the fees listed below, of which $150 is refundable.

Cost of Attendance

Cost of Attendance is an estimate of the student's overall expenses for the period of enrollment. It is made up of direct costs (tuition and fees) and indirect costs (transportation, personal expenses, etc.).

Indirect costs included in a student's budget are estimates only for what it might cost you to rent an apartment, buy groceries, travel to and from school, and depend heavily on your personal expenses. This is not an actual bill from WNCC.

We use these costs to help determine your overall estimated need. We then try to meet that need with various forms of financial assistance. The Costs of Attendance are for full-time enrollment and will be adjusted for less than full-time enrollment or single-term enrollment.
