Welcome to Career Pathways & Advising! Let’s talk about your dream job and create
a roadmap to get you there.
Career Pathways & Advising has been of great use for me. They helped me create a resume
and made me realize all of the campus activities that I participated in were worth
writing about.Molly Tamirat2019 Graduate
What We Do
We’re here to help you discover your career pathway, choose your first-semester coursework,
and create a plan for your academic and career success. We have an open door and welcome
you anytime. To schedule an appointment, call 308.635.6000, use our scheduling portal, or email us.
First-Term Advising
After being admitted to WNCC, you'll work with an Admissions Counselor to get you
started on the righth foot.
Then, you'll want to set up a first-term advising appointment to help understand how to navigate the student portal, how to register for first
semester classes, and how to start your college journey successfully.
Are you planning on transferring to another institution? Now is the time to begin
planning for that transition.
Schedule an appointment with a transfer advisor.
Our goal is to help you identify a career pathway that fits your interests, then develop
a roadmap to get you there.
Complete our short intake form, then schedule an appointment with a Career Pathways Advisor.
WNCC students, alumni, and community residents have the opportunity to search and
apply for jobs posted exclusively for them and other opportunities via national job
boards. Additional resources like podcasts and the ability to create a resume or career
portfolio can be done in CCN and made available to employers. Employers also have
the chance to post unlimited positions and search resumes for free!
Framing Your Future Podcast Career Pathways & Advising has teamed up with the Scottsbluff/Gering United Chamber
of Commerce to launch a new podcast series on landing your dream career, right here
in Western Nebraska! Each episode features local professionals providing tips on how
to prepare for a career, hot trends in the area, how to avoid pitfalls, and much more.
Check out our Transfer page to learn more about the process!
