TRIO Veterans Upward Bound/Military & Veterans Services

You had our back, now we have yours. WNCC is grateful for your service and commitment to our country. In return, we strive to provide you the best educational experience possible.

Military & Veterans Services

The Military & Veterans Services office, which includes the Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program, provides academic, career, and financial assistance to qualified veterans at no cost, as well as organized social and cultural activities. Our goal is to ensure academic success – whether that means graduation or transferring to a four-year institution - through persistence and ease of access to services.

Important to note:

  • Chapter 35 Dependents - you may be eligible for a tuition and fees waiver through the State Department of Veterans Affairs. For more information, contact your local County Veterans Service Officer.
  • In-state tuition rates apply to active duty military members and dependents of those members who are stationed in Nebraska.
  • If the military member is reassigned to another state, the military member's dependent will maintain eligibility for in-state tuition as long as the dependent is continuously enrolled in a degree program at a state institution.
